Graduate Ambassadors
The Graduate Ambassadors are representatives of the Graduate School, and of the NMSU graduate community. They volunteer occasionally and assist with the mission of the Graduate School. An ambassador may answer questions from potential students about NMSU, provide tours for prospective students, talk to undergraduates about applying to graduate school, and hold various activities on campus. Ambassadors can utilize discussion boards via Myspace or Facebook, chat rooms, and organize various other endeavors.
The Graduate Ambassadors are students, staff, and faculty that volunteer to serve their community; however, student ambassadors run this organization.
Those that are interested in becoming an Ambassador must fill out an application at: http://www.gradschool.nmsu.edu/sa/sa.pdf
A resume and three professor references are also to be included with the application.
The Graduate School would like to have representation from all six of the different colleges on campus. By serving as an ambassador, you can share your experiences with prospective students, meet new people, and provide a positive experience for new students at New Mexico State University.
