The Graduate School provides a way to access  student's admission applications

For PC users the instructions are provided below:

You need to have  SSH Secure Shell Client to login to the server.

 

SSH Secure Shell

      SSH is a program that runs on your personal computer and is used to login to a remote computer system, much in the same way as the telnet. The big difference between telnet and SSH, however, is that SSH provides significantly enhanced security for your login session.

      If you don't have SSH installed on your computer, you can download it from the link provided below.

Once you have the client installed simply follow the instructions below to login.

    1.From your desktop  start the Secure Shell Client

 

     2.  A window like one shown below should appear.

 

 

    3.   Click on the Quick Connect button (or from the File  menu, select Quick

          Connect).

 

        

   

     4. A “Connect to Remote Host” box  appears. Enter Host Name, your username,

           Port number , and Click on the Connect  button.

 

           Host name: grad.nmsu.edu

           Port number: 22

 

 

 

      5.  An “Enter Password” dialog box should appear. Enter the password and

          click the OK button.

 

    6.   After you Login an SSH file Transfer window will appear.

    7.   When you have finished Click on the Disconnect icon   on the tool bar or

          choose Disconnect from the File menu.

 

 

 

  8. A Confirm Disconnect  box will appear. If you  want to disconnect, click on OK,

       if  not click on Cancel.

 

 If you do not have a user name and password, or you have forgotten them, or you  cannot access the ftp site contact the Graduate School at 646-2737.
